Meet Quackers: CRD looks to rehome random free duck
Meet Quackers: CRD looks to rehome random free duck Published 5:30 am Saturday, September 26, 2026 The Capital Regional District Animal Shelter finds itself with a feathered friend to rehome, despite a callout for its owner in August when a duck was found randomly roaming. “Meet Quackers! Because apparently, when you run an animal shelter, eventually someone brings you a duck,” the shelter posted on social media in early August. “Quackers was found wandering around, and after the usual posts, searches, and waiting… nobody came forward to claim him.” On Sept. 25, the agency re-upped that post, offering up the free duck, which does come with character. “Quackers is now officially looking for his forever home – preferably one with a proper duck setup, plenty of space, and someone who appreciates being loudly informed of absolutely everything.” Those interested can call the shelter at 250-658-5745 for details.
